Topic: Fruits of the spirit: Peace

Today we will discuss PEACE and how we are to apply this fruit in our everyday life.


❓What is PEACE?

🔎PEACE -is freedom from disturbance;

⭐️A state in which people do not argue or cause trouble

(Read explain and discuss each scripture)

📌 Exodus 14:14-We get peace from Lord, knowing that when we keep his commandments he will for sure protect us and fight our battles.

📌 Romans 12:18- try your best to live without any problems.

📌 Psalms 29:11


❓What helps you keep your PEACE?

(Allow child time to respond)

Example:

-Keeping clam during a disagreement is a good way to keep Peace.

-Reading the scripture in a time of trouble is a good way to keep peace.


🔴Activity 1

Weekly Fruits booklet:

Each week as your child learns about a new fruit of the Spirit they will complete a page in the booklet.

Directions:

Have your child draw & color a picture of one fruit🍇 to Represent peace.

This week your child can complete the page 2:

PEACE

Save & Print


📖Let’s take a look in the Bible for an example of someone applying peace.

Abigail keeps the Peace.

-In 1 Samuel 25 you can find the history of Nabal and how his wife Abigail saved him from being killed by David.

-Abigail came to David peacefully .

Read/ retell this history to your child.


🔴Activity 2

The scripture 1 Samuel 25:18 tells us about what Abigail gathered together as a offering to David.

Color the basket and paste the items.

Ask your child: From the scripture we just read what items are we missing?

Have your child draw the missing items in the basket.

Review the card  with your child every day.
