Sabbath question of the day

What fruits of the spirit have you learned about so far?

Allow child time to respond

⭕️Answer: Love, Joy & Peace

Briefly discuss each fruit.

Topic: Fruits of the spirit: LONG SUFFERING

Today we will discuss LONG SUFFERING and how we are to apply this fruit in our everyday life.

❓What is LONG SUFFERING?

🔎 LONG SUFFERING is having or showing patience.

⭐️ Enduring- to go through something painful or difficult patiently.

💥Let's do a CHALLENGE

Parents get your child’s favorite snack and sit it in front of them.

Tell your child they can eat it now but that will mean they have no patience OR they can show patience and eat it once they have completed the lesson.

If they wait… as a reward for having patience allow your child to pick out another snack for later.

(Read explain and discuss each scripture)

📌 Numbers 14:18

📌 2 Peter 3:9

⭐️ The Lord is patient with us. (explain different ways how)

What are some ways you showed patience?

(Allow child time to respond)

Example:

-Waiting on the Most High to make things happen for you instead of doing what you want to do.

-Waiting your turn for something without complaining is also a way to show patience.

-we should have and show patience to our brothers and sisters no matter how hard it is.

Let’s take a look in the Bible for examples

🔴Activity 2

In the scriptures we read about how the Most High sent Moses back-and-forth to pharaoh to let his people go.

Read/ retell this history to your child.

Do you think Moses showed patience?

Did Moses get mad because he had to keep going to pharaoh?

⭐️Find another time in our history where someone showed patience and review with your child.
