Today we will discuss GOODNESS and how we are to apply this fruit in our everyday life.

❓What is GOODNESS?

🔎 GOODNESS the state or quality of being good.

synonym: using a dictionary, look up a few of these synonyms for goodness.

•friendliness, generosity, good will,graciousness, honesty, integrity, kindness, righteousness, rightness, virtue,

‭• scriptures say “for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness”

What is Good?

📌Romans‬ ‭7‬:‭12‬

• keeping the commandments is what’s good.! (Doing what god tells you to do)

• When the Bible talks about what is good it’s not talking about what we THINK is good it’s talking about what God says is good.!

• Always keep god's commandments even when you think noone is looking

How can you show goodness?

Have a quick discussion on ways they can show goodness.

❓Should we be good on the outside AND the inside.?

⭐️YES.!

Read and discuss the scripture

Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭21- Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

-We don’t want to be evil and be disrespect, rude , jealous, selfish, etc.

-we want to have goodness and be kind, respectful , honest etc.

Let’s look at some fruits as an example:

🚨use a fruit like a lemon that is sour and something like a banana that is sweet.

🍋The lemon is bright and yellow on the outside, it looks good right? (do a taste test).

But when you eat the inside of a lemon, it's taste is sour.

🍌Now let’s try the banana.

The banana is bright, yellow, and looks good on the outside just like the lemon.

But how will it taste on the inside? (Do a taste test)

-it’s sweet and good.

Do you want to be the lemon that’s only good on the outside, but not so good on the inside OR do you want to be the banana? That’s good on the inside and the outside.
