📌These are the fruits of the spirit and today we will talk about gentleness

Gentleness-the quality of being kind; showing care and respect for others in the way that you act and speak.


Matthew 22:37-40

📌The most high said that the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself

Your neighbor = your people

Leviticus 19:17

📌Don’t have hatred for your brother or sister, but if your brother or sister is in sin we must let them know.

📌Being kind to your brother or sister is not just doing kind things for them , it’s also Speaking kind words to them

📌Do you think you are Loving Your neighbor as yourself if you tease them and say mean things? (Allow child time to respond)

Wrinkled heart Activity

1️⃣Allow your child to color and cut out the heart

2️⃣Ask your child what someone could say to hurt their hearts.

💥Possible answers: Tease them, call them names, gossip about them behind their back, tell secrets about them

3️⃣For Every Example they give Crinkle or ball up the heart.

4️⃣Ask: What have the hurtful words done to your heart?”

5️⃣Now ask: Is there anything we can say to fix this heart?”

💥Possible answers: Apologize, say something nice, give a compliment

6️⃣With every example they give unfold the heart

7️⃣Ask: How did we do? Did we fix this heart?”

NO.! although we have repaired the heart, the scars are still there. Even when we say we’re sorry,

8️⃣What can we do to try to prevent from saying something hurtful to someone else?” (Allow child time to respond)
