Picture book activity

Using the pictures provided cut and make a picture book going in order of the events happening.

this Activity can be completed as you read the chapters or at the end of the lesson.

Genesis chapter 6

•God saw that the people on the earth became very wicked and for that he was going to destroy everything on earth.

Destroy-put an end to the existence of (something).

•Noah was faithful and a perfect man

•God told Noah his plans to Destroy the everything on earth and he also told him to build an ark.

Ark-Big boat

•God Gave Noah details on how to build the ark

  • Make the ark of gopher wood

  • three hundred cubits long,

  • fifty cubits wide

  • thirty cubits High

  • With three stories

•God told Noah the he, his wife , their 3son And their wives would be saved from the Destruction of the earth.

•He instructed Noah to get male and female of every animal to be saved with them.

•He also instructed Noah to get food for his family and food for the animals.

•Noah did everything God commanded him to do.

Let’s build

Allow your child to use Legos or blocks of any sort to build an ark of their own.

Genesis Chapter 7

•God told Noah to take his family on to the ark along with Male and female of every clean beast by sevens And unclean by two

7 male +7 female = 14 of every clean animal. 2male + 2female= 4 of every unclean animal.


•God caused it to rain 40 days and 40 nights to destroy everything that he had made the earth.

  • this Caused it to flood

  • Waters were so high it covered the Mountains tops

•Noah was six hundred years old at the time of the flood

•every man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and fowls were all destroyed from the earth

•The the earth was flooded for 150days

Don’t overwhelm the Children with too much information at one time.

Genesis Chapter 8

•God remembered about Noah

•After the end of the 150 days the water began to decrease.

•The ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat.

• Noah later sent two birds to see if all the water was gone

(A raven) & (a dove)

*Show your children pictures of the these birds


•The Dove returned, which meant the waters were still there.

•7 days later Noah sent the dove back out and this time the dove came back with a olive leaf so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

•The third time Noah sent the dove , it did not return.

•Noah built an altar unto God and offered burnt offerings of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl,

Chapter 9: 1-17

•God blessed to Noah and his sons and told them to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth.

  • Fruitful- A married couple is fruitful if they have children.

  • multiply - is to increase the amount or number of (something).

  • Replenish-to fill (something) up again (Feel free to dive deeper)

•God established his covenant with Noah and his sons to never destroy all living things with a flood.

  • covenant- an agreement

•As a sign that God will keep his covenant he set a rainbow in the sky to remember.

End of lesson question:

How many people did God save from the flood?
