Genesis chapter 4: 1-16

✔️Genesis 4:1-2 (The children of Adam and Eve)

📌Cain was the First born and he was a tiller of the ground (farmer)

📌Abel was the second born and he was a keeper of sheep.

🟢Activity #1

Go over with your child what a keeper of sheep and a tiller of the ground Does.

✔️Genesis 4:3-7 (Offerings to the Lord)

🚨The first and best must be given to the Lord.

read and discuss this scriptures (Numbers 18:17 )

📌Abel Brought the best of his flock

📌God was pleased with Abel’s offering

📌Cain Brought some of the fruit of the ground – some from his crops.

📌God was NOT pleased with Cain’s offering

📌Cain became very wroth about this.

🔍Wroth = angry

📌He was very angry that God had accepted Abel’s offering but not his.

✔️Genesis 4:8-10 (Cain killed his brother)

read and discuss this scriptures (Leviticus 19:17) no Hate for your brother

📌Cain told Abel – “Let us go out to the field”.

📌When they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother, Abel and killed him.

📌God asked Cain where his brother was and Cain lied to god and said “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

📌God Sees and knows EVERYTHING., he already knew what Cain did.!

📌God cursed cain and He would never be able to grow anything again.

📌 Cain would also be "a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth."

🔍Fugitive-a person who has escaped from a place or is in hiding, especially to avoid arrest or persecution.

🔍vagabond-a person who wanders from place to place
